    As was recently covered in CWT Industry Watch, travel is booming in China. If you have upcoming travel to China planned, remember to check the visa and passport requirements for your particular visit. Additionally, below are a few basic tips for visitors:

    • Greetings: Nodding, bowing slightly, or shaking hands are more common greetings in China than the hugs and kisses that may be acceptable in Western countries.
    • Punctuality: Punctuality is important in China – for both business meetings and social occasions.
    • Time Zone: China has only one time zone. It is eight hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.
