Comments Off on Hotel features: Which are the ‘must-haves’ for business travel?
When you travel to attend meetings and events, do you have different expectations for a hotel hosting a meeting or conference than you do for a hotel you select for a quick visit to one of your clients’ offices? As covered in the Q2 issue of CWT Vision, some travel buyers are taking a closer look at their approved hotels for meetings and events as compared to the hotels approved for business travelers, and identifying areas of crossover between the two. In some cases, transient travel policies are incorporating more conference/meeting-style hotels as options for travelers. Have you noticed this at all with your travel policy?
This may or may not be the case at your company: progress in this area really depends on each individual company’s travel program and their approach to hotel negotiations. But there is the potential for travelers to benefit when more full-service hotels are a part of the program. It can mean easier access to Wi-Fi, business centers, or meeting space should those features be necessary. What kinds of hotel features are important to you when you travel?
