• Tracking Hurricane Sandy

    CWT Savvy Traveler
If you’re traveling to, from, or within the east coast of the United States over the next few days, you’ll want to be keeping an eye on Hurricane Sandy. Currently a Category 1 Hurricane, the storm is moving toward the northeastern United States. The most current projections track the storm as making landfall between Monday, Oct. 29 and Tuesday, Oct. 30.

CWT’s Hurricane Taskforce continues to monitor the storm and provides regular updates to CWT internal personnel to assess its operations. Travelers are advised to monitor their air carrier’s website for the most current information about the status of their flights. Additionally, for North American airlines specifically, CWT has continued to update and post an airline re-accommodation matrix containing the individual airline policies related to Hurricane Sandy.

You can also track the storm via the embedded map below or directly on Google’s page.

As a reminder, we recently published a hurricane-related blog post pointing to additional resources for travelers. Check it out for some helpful reminders.
