Some of the themes we’ve touched on recently both in CWT Savvy Traveler and at Carlson Wagonlit Travel overall revolve around the concept of reducing travel stress, including healthy eating while on the road or at a meeting.

We’ll be continuing to talk about those themes in the upcoming months, but in the interim, USA TODAY picked up on these themes recently as well, with two stories appearing on the newspaper’s website today.

Reporter Nancy Trejos (@nancytrejos) tapped Nikki McLain of CWT Meetings & Events to talk about a topic she’s written about before on Savvy Traveler: eating healthy at meetings. Her piece, under the headline ‘Hotel-based meetings get more creative, healthier menus‘ quotes Nikki on the challenges of fitting those healthier options into a meeting budget.

A second piece, also by Nancy Trejos under the headline ‘How to keep rigors of the road from ravaging your body‘, mentions CWT Solutions Group’s Travel Stress Index as part of a conversation around how both business and leisure travelers can lower their stress level.

Read up when you get a chance.

    Safe Travels!
