As reported by Bloomberg, small knives with retractable blades shorter than 2.36 inches and narrower than one-half inch; and select sporting equipment, such as ski poles and up to two golf clubs will be permitted through security checkpoints and onboard commercial flights.

The new rules are set to take effect April 25, so if you’re traveling between now and then, be sure to check the TSA website for more information about what items are permitted and prohibited in carry-on and checked baggage.

Update: more info now available on the TSA blog here.

    Safe Travels!
