• My travel bucket list

    Stephanie Miller
When I started thinking about this blog post, I couldn’t decide what locations I would want to put on my travel bucket list; the possibilities are so endless that it’s hard to pick just a select few.

  • Check out other Savvy Travelers’ bucket lists
  • To help spark some ideas, I did a search for ‘ultimate travel destinations’. Nothing I saw was quite hitting home, and I began to realize that my idea of an ultimate travel destination wasn’t the same as what I was seeing through my research. Among the results that my search came back with were things like hiking the Antarctic Peninsula to see a rare penguin colony or getting into a cage to see great white sharks up close.

My travel bucket list is less life-threatening, but still has some adventure to it!

Here are the locations I’ve come up with and why I’d want to visit:

    • Yellowstone National Park—Natural wonders abound, wildlife and history!
    • New York City—Need I say more? They have history, culture, food and everything else a traveler could want.
    • Antwerp—Diamonds, craft beer, Freiten (Belgian fries) and architecture.
    • New Orleans—Jazz music, local foods, nightlife and the laissez les bons temps rouler attitude (“Let the good times roll!”).
    • Fiji—Specifically, I want to stay in one of those cottages on stilts over the amazing turquoise water.

That’s my list so far, but with so many beautiful and interesting places in the world to choose from, my list is sure to grow.

Whether you like to travel for adventure, history, culture, local cuisines or what have you, there are ultimate travel destinations to match anyone’s taste. What travel destinations are on your bucket list and why? Share them with us in the comments below!
