If you’re a frequent traveler, you’re collecting a lot of miles, and we’ve given travelers advice on how to maximize frequent flier miles.
But if you travel 48 weeks a year, perhaps you don’t want to travel on your down time. That’s something that author and speaker Peter Shankman has expressed: “I do have a ton of miles, but think about it – The last thing I want to do when I’m actually home with my wife and kid is to travel again! So I rarely use the miles for me. Instead, I give them away.”
Shankman is collecting donated miles to send people home to see their families for the holidays, people who would not otherwise be able to go.
Would you ever participate in something like that?
