It’s finally here and traveling is going to get a lot easier and quicker! Toronto’s answer to getting you out of the traffic and congestion and high cost of getting from Toronto Pearson Airport to downtown Toronto is ready to roll (excuse the pun!) on June 6, 2015.

The Union Pearson Express — dubbed ‘UP’ — is the new commuter train that runs directly from Toronto Pearson Airport to Union Station, the heart of downtown and the financial district. And it is opening just in time for the Pan Am Games, which will be hosted in Toronto this summer.

    Here are some highlights:

    • 25 minutes of hassle-free transportation to/from Toronto Pearson Airport
    • Shuttles depart every 15 minutes, seven days a week during airport hours
    • On board Wi-Fi
    • Airline check-in kiosks
    • Tickets can be purchased on your mobile, online (upexpress.com) and in-station

The added savings is in the cost. A one-way trip using Union Express is $27.50 Canadian, compared to $40-45 via taxi. (Frequent users of Toronto transit can use their smartcard and get a discounted fare.)

It’s also good for the environment. UP expects to replace 1.2 million car trips in its first year of operation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Be sure to take a ride on the new UP service on your next trip!  We would love your feedback to the experience.  Check out the UP web site for even more details www.upexpress.com.
