The CWT Savvy Traveler Blog is starting off 2011 with a little bit of fun, and we’d like to invite you to participate. From January 17 – April 17 we are conducting a photo contest for readers.

We modeled the contest after the popular Flat Stanley project (www.flatstanley.com), wherein Stanley has the opportunity to travel the world with many travelers. We wanted to give “Savvy” a similar opportunity with you, so we’ve created the Flat Savvy Photo Contest. To participate, you can simply print Savvy’s picture, and photograph Savvy in your travels (business or leisure)—next to a monument, a sculpture, a popular landmark, or near whatever scenery you think Savvy needs to see.

With the generous support of our sponsor, Delta, KLM, Air France and Alitalia, we will be offering valuable prizes to our contest winners: including travel vouchers and a Sky Club membership.

Here’s how it works:

1. Review the Contest Rules
2. Print out a copy of “Flat Savvy”
3. Bring Flat Savvy on a trip and take his photo
4. If any people are in the photo, remember to get a signed release form from each of them
5. Email your photos (as many as you’d like) to cwtsavvytraveler@carlsonwagonlit.com
6. Track Flat Savvy’s travels through the online photo gallery

Prizes will be awarded for:

• Most creative incorporation of Flat Savvy into a photo (Winner receives two $500 travel vouchers)
• Most unique/interesting activity in which Flat Savvy is participating (Winner receives two $500 travel vouchers)
• Overall most creative and original photo (Winner receives two $500 travel vouchers and a one-year Sky Club membership)
